In June 1981 The Coca-Cola Company in Japan held a competition to give away various picture disc records.

There were five matching singles and albums, by international acts ABBA, The Doobie Brothers, and Nolans (aka Nolan Sisters), and Japanese artists Crystal King and Junko Mihara. The albums were compilations of previously released songs, except for track one on each (the same track also featured on each artist's single). The singles contain music on one side only, with no grooves pressed on the photograph side. The records were despatched in an envelope bearing the logo of the artist. Interestingly, each of the artists is on a different record label - Discomate (ABBA), Warner Bros. (Doobie Brothers), CBS/Epic (Nolans), Aard-Vark (Crystal King), and King Records (Junko Mihara).

The ABBA album featured medleys of songs interspersed with dialogue on side A and the first track on side B. A second version of the album was released, editing out some offensive dialogue in track 2 on side A (the lyrics to the original uncensored and censored versions are here). There is no additional ABBA music on the album not heard elsewhere, notwithstanding the fact that this was the first release of 'Slipping Through My Fingers', five months before The Visitors album. However, there is some introductory dialogue from ABBA in the 'Does Your Mother Know' medley on side B.

Coincidentally, the Nolans' album features their cover version of ABBA's 'Thank You For The Music'.
