Par places UNICEF special abroad.

Paramount Television Distribution has sold A Gift Of Song: The Music For UNICEF Concert to 32 countries, grossing a total of $452,000. That’s a “world-record price for the sale of a musical special for television,” according to Bruce Gordon, Paramount’s senior v.p.

The 90-minute special was put together by The Bee Gees, Robert Stigwood and David Frost to raise funds for UNICEF. The Bee Gees star in the special, and guests include ABBA, Elton John and Donna Summer.

Some of the countries buying the special are the UK, Germany, Canada, Japan, Holland, Belgium, Australia, Norway, Finland, Greece and Portugal. Transcribed for ABBA World
